New 14 owner, after 12 Busa's
Hi all, Bought me a red 06 14. I got a chance to ride my friends ZX-14 at the dragstrip one night at test and tune. After riding it I knew I wanted one. I sold my Busa and made the purchase. I have not had a chance to take it to the track yet but it feels strong on the street. I ordered Roaring Toys bolt on extensions, Lowering links and front strap, TRE. I also have a 16 tooth front sprocket and a 44 rear. I was going to go with the Brock's pipe but have been Eyeing the Turbo Kit listed here. Out of all my Busa's I have owned two were turbo'ed. one was a 1507 and the last was a Carpenter built. I do some dragracing for fun mostly. Street riding and track duty on Test&Tune. The 14 is smooth and a great streetbike. The Busa was great and still is but I wanted a change. The Kawasaki fit so I got one. My first outing will be Feb. 20th at Hubcity in MS. This will be the first day of their Fat Tuesday race and is all motorcycle open track. So we will see how it does.

Big t I will be at hub city, If you want some free and friendly advice DONT get the TRE it does what Ivan says but it is not the same thing as it is on a busa, i.e it does not get rid of the speed limiter and you will get a noticable more amount of power from taking the secondary butterflies out it is quite simple do a search on here for Flies removal it is quite easy and you will be EXTEREMELY happy it feels like a new bike 29 ft/lbs of tq at 3500 RPM extra that is like a small shot of juice at 3500-5000 rpm... and by the way as a racer if you are interested in an Air Shifter I might be selling my MRE high pressure system to get the Pingel full electric if you would be interested just let me know It has a mounting bracket a 10oz bottle and all the engine kill and stuff I would let it go for prolly 400 keep in mind this a High pressure system 300 shifts without ever having to do anyhting... Also if you decide not to get the turbo go with the Brocks SMEG the sound and Power are amazing!!! see SmokinZX14 signature for what kind of times he is turning with the Brocks pipe all motor not bad huh?

Yea, My friend Jack has the Pingle Electric shifter. It's the one I am getting but thanks anyway. I have the TRE but I had already pulled the Flies out the second day I had the bike. The TRE is in the top of my Tool Box. I most likely will order the Turbo kit at the end of the month so it won't be on by Hubcity. I guess I will run it with the stock exhaust and lowered. I won't put the extentions on with the stock exhaust. I can't see buying a pipe just to take it back off when I put the turbo kit on. Look for me on a Red 06. should be a lot of fun. I have ran my Turbo Busa there several times.

It is fast, to tell the truth I wanted a Black one. My friend Jack got a black, my other buddy Derrick got blue. I was left no choice but to get the red. After I rode it a while I liked the red a lot.
