springs and something off topic...

Pulled the shock and spring assembly loose today and going to replace the spring with a drag spring, who makes them? I couldnt think of anyt off the top of my head.

Also, this is totally off topic but has anybody ever had a cell phone "flashed". I bought a phone off ebay and it wont work with my carrier. I guess it has to be 850mhz and it's 900/1000/1100. I was told to have it flashed to 850mhz but i can't find anybody in my area that knows anything about this.......sorry this is off topic.

Called Trac yesterday and got a Eibach spring on the way. I was told the stock spring has a 950 ft/lb rate, they will be sending me a new 1100ft/lb spring set up for a 8-12 stretch and a 200 pound rider. The spring it's self was a 109 dollars.

$109 is dirt cheap. Wonder if its performance is comparible the $1300 Ohlins ZX14 drag shock/

Even the Penski (spelling?) for my 600RR track bike is expensive, I've never heard of $109 for a bike spring. Let us know how well it works for you please

I'll let you guys know how it works. I have changed so much for this year it's going to be awhole new bike/learning curve. Having the winter off sucks and doesn't do my riding skills any good.

The phone issues. Flashed? This is BS. The phones have fixed radio frequencies. If they could be flashed everyone would be doing it. I buy cell phones on Ebay from Saberpoint. Good price and service. Here is their link to their Ebay store:

Good luck

The $109 is for the spring only not the entire shock. Penske shocks are around $700. Hypercoils also has a spring for $100

Is the Eibach spring progressive? Also, fas550 is right about changing frequencies on the phone. Flashing refers to unlocking the software so that it can be used on another providers network that operates using the same frequency and modulation approach i.e. GSM or CDMA

You know i never asked, when i ordered the spring all we talked about was spring rates.

When i went to my provider i was told all it had to be was gsm and unlocked. I guess my provider is using 850mhz and that is not a option with this phone. I guess i will try and sell it and buy another one....didnt really want to do that but........
