What happened to my post about my 14 blowing up?
I can't find my post about my 14 throwing a rod.. What happened to it??

I would think a thread about a zx14 engine failure should be in the zx14 board......
Then again zx14 board threads always turn into useless childish pissing matches.
Its a shame, because the 12r side and the dragbike side arnt like that.

I am new to the boards and have to admit there is some really good info on here, the rest I take as amusement. Personally, I would be hot if my motor went south. However, I would be very persistant with my dealer about getting it fixed. I think it is kind of funny though that everyone outside the Kaw community is looking for the nick in the 14's armour. If you look hard enough at anyuthing you can find something you don't like. Maybe we should all step back a bit and appreciate what we have to ride, you gotta give it to the Japanese engineers, these bikes today are all pretty bad ass.

I actually had my friends drive down to the bike dealership yesterday since they were passing by it on their way to the beach (Myrtle Beach) The dealership is around 1 hour and a half from where I live. And they were going to take a picture for the only reason to shut up some children on this board but when they got down there they had the motor laying on the table and everything was apart cases split and they couldn't get a good picture of the actual rod that was broke.

Ok i just don't get it ...First it tossed a rod .....Then it spun a bearing ..... Now it broke a rod ....If you tossed or broke a rod the cases will be junk because it would mostlikely have a hole in it .........Now you sent some friends down to get some pictures and the motor is apart on a table and you can't get a good picture??

man, no offense, but your friends are fucking idiots if your motor is "messed up" like you says it is... children on the board you say, i say you have no idea what your talking about. ok, if it IS, you should at least know what it is since its taken apart...

Frist of all you are fucking idiot. I was one of the guys that went to the shop and checked Rowlands bike. I have ridden with him for three years. I was in the area looking at a bike and I walked back in the shop and all they had on the counter was the engine torn apart. The rod wasn't there. So what was the point of taking a picture of just the engine case? I could have taken a picture of my friends R1 engine that we are working on, they look the same. You act like a fucking dumbass that belongs on gixer.com. When he gets the bike back we will scan the invoice and show it to you you stupid fuck
