Yeah, the road I was on was plenty long and smooth enough to hit the speed limiter. Im getting my nerve up a little at a time. This thing just accelerates so quickly, it scares me. If I had came off of or had more seat time on a 1000cc i'd probably be more comfortalbe at those speeds.

Sounds like you are risking life, limb and the future pursuit of happiness on this endeavour - have you considered coming to Maxton or the Texas Mile...... and playing with speed on the drag strip???

I'd love to go to a place like that, but texas is pretty far from where I'm at (Tennessee). Where's Maxton at?

I found a website about the Maxton Monster Mile. I read the requirements. Does all that apply to a brand new production bike? Like drain plugs having to be safety wired, etc.?

yes - safety standards for everything. If you go to bwww.brockracing.com and read zx14 diary 3 Brock talks about his adventure at Maxton - and shows pictures of many of the required mods.

I did the GPS run today. It did 311 km/h +- 193.29 mph. It revved to 11100 again. So it is obvious that the revs is out. Now i have to install the power commander with Brock's map and an 18 sprocket. I guess I will hit the magic 200 mph then. Ok this is proof of what a standard/piped zx 14 wil do.

One more thing. We only have 95 octane available here. Acc to a guy working at the dealership, the fastest previous record on the gps was 295 km/h.[Stock]. Would an 18 sprocket and the power com. with Brock's map do the elusive 200 mph?

If you reread my post (especially the one about going to a track to race) it will give you all the data you are looking for.... note that I had originally estimated your speed between 192 and 193 at indicated 11,100 - which means you are tracking to by calc. www.ecta-lsr.com should give you more info on Maxton......
