New 1/8 mile numbers
Well this sucks but here it is ... I removed the flys and added brocks race map for no flys ...I also added a new Shinko Usoft and a 16 tooth front sprocket .... We got 4 runs in 5 frigging hours !!!!! The first run was a get to know you run because i had no idea how it would run with no flys and a 16 tooth gear .... 1.55 60 footer 4.01 330 and 1/8 et of 6.01 @ 124... Not great but i left the line like a snail ......Second run i came out harder with a 1.45 60 footer and had a great 330 of 3.80 and then the bike blew the tire off at half track . I spun so hard I thought the friggen chain broke !!! I only run a 6.44 @ 84 mph ..What i was not told before the pass was a car broke the trans and oiled down the hole track!!!! So after 1 hour track clean up i got a good run in ... Third run I still left soft because i was unsure it would hook but i ran a 1.47 60 foot 3.86 330 and 1/8 ET of 5.85 @ 124 mph...4th and last run of the night i had a better 60 foot of 1.44 and a 330 time of 3.80 but i was in a killer wheely and backed off the gas to get the front end down.... 5.94 @ 124...
If we get no rain Thursday night i'm heading for the 1/4 track, it's a much better track and i allways run better numbers there than our crappy 1/8 track.... I feel this thing has an easy 5.70s 1/8 mile numbers and i feel it will run a 8.90 pretty easy in the 1/4 mile ...
Now you all know i have been holding back from removing the flys on my zx14....Well they are out now and i can tell you it makes the bike a hand full to ride out of the hole..It is much faster with them out if you can handle the power ...Once i get the hang of it i'm sure there are some high 1.30s to low 1.40s 60 footers.....So even with a crappy track i still ran my fastest 1/8 pass ever , so i feel i'm heading the right way.... Are you still stock wheelbase SMokin if so we need to start callin you the fastest unknown I dont think shine was runnin 1/8th mile numbers that good on Brocks Bike... Those are truly impressive times what MPH were you runnin in the 1/8th

I think that he asid that he stretched it a few weeks back.
Anyways man, that thing is on a rail and is really, really fast. Great job.
What tire pressures do you set the front/rear to and what size is that Shinko?

Well Rick i 'd say flys out.....Way more power than a Busa in the low end with flys out .... I just have to relearn the launch to handle the extra hp and torq below 5k.....

190 Usoft ...... 18 rear and 50 front ...It will work at BMP with 24 rear ...You know it's better track...Smokin..

I added some arm last week ..The bike now sets at 63 inches ...Smokin..

Thank goodness I was about to feelr really really bad about myself SMokin how much time do you think you would have picked up with fly's out and track map without the arm???

Hard to tell with only 4 passes and only one of them was good or fair... When I get 10 or so passes i will be able to judge it a bet better ...I'll post up when that happens ... Smokin..

Lil Vic wasn't able to get a run in on my bike. The best I ran all night was the 6.5 @ 115.7 which is very humbling. It looks kinda sketchy for BMP tonight.

Now that is why I'd love to see your 14 stretched as well.
Smokin', I am glad that you are using that MAXTON map too. I have had it in my bike since I went to the dyno. Damn these bikes are nasty.
