Looks like they realy had to spread those bruces wide for the swing arm. I have seen that 1100F in action great handling bike.

Yeah same Exhaust as mine except the midpipes are totally different for reasons that are obvious.
Heh.. that figures , as soon as i get my exhaust everybody else is soon to raid the band wagon

It's safe to say that thing will never know what a 210 tire is

Any input on the 200 Michelin Pilot Sport HPX's? That was my 1st. choice and it looks like an excellent tire for the 14. But some guys at the local Kawi dealership said they handle fair but wear really fast. Kinda wonder if they even heard of the HPX's tires. The 210 is for his Vmax and I was needing a new tire any way, so I thought I'd mount it and see if it handled ok and if I liked it we would buy him another one for his bike. BUT, with ALL this bad review I may not even waste my time and just go with the original HPX idea. And since we're on the wider tire subject, would it be that bad to run the 200 over the 190 if I prefer a slightly wider tire?

Fastestbusa, Is the Pilot Sport that you mentioned the same as the sport HPX? Michelin seems to have several types of the Pilot tires.

Honestly I would stay 190... The 12R came with a 200 and all the guys myself included put a 180 on that bike for much improved handleing... A 190 will do you right..But be careful to not mix tire sets.. sometimes bad JuJu can happen doing that.. Profile is everything..

Well 200 Hpx's are Busa tires , so the design should be sound and have a good profile.
200 pilot powers wouldn't be bad either.
I know PP's have really good wear.
Tire descisions ..... gotta love it

I've run two sets of 014s on my 12R and love the tire. I run a 180 there as well. My 12 makes about 180rwhp and the 180 sticks it great and the turn in is great. I also have a set of 014s on my 10R and they have never done anything stupid.. They stick like glue.. They usually last about 2500 mile and are done from edge to edge.. The front and rear both give up at about the same mileage

Just turned 2,800 and I could probably go another 200 miles but I don't want to take any chances.

That's about right for an 014.. The PPs do seem to get a little more.. I have a set of Pirelli Corsa IIIs for the 10 in the spring and they are suppose to be the cats ass.. It's a two compound tire.. Soft on the sides and med in the middle..

That's 30 minutes from my house..
Do yourself a favor and keep some sticky tires on that bike.. It's like insurance for your life.. Sooner or later you'll get in somewhere deep and wish you had some more stick.. It's a small patch that we ride on and live by.. Cut back on something else BUT keep some sticky shoes on the 14... It will save you sooner or later.. We don't want a single member to get hurt..

The oem BT's on my 14 started flattening the center at 1200 miles but i managed to squeeze 5000 miles out of them .
My Metzeler Racetecs have 1500 on them and they are not even close to being flat in the center , but the sides are complaining

Yes... Suppose to be better BUT I can't comment.. Warm up time is quick and stick is suppose to be unreal from the get go... How did you like the GAP? Did you get to ride the Cherrohala Skyway?? Much better road for the 14.

Tires and oil are fucked up subjects... Just keep sticky shit on the wheels and and slick shit in the motor.. Buy the best of both and you'll be good.. Cut a corner on either and you'll be sad sooner or later.

It's not just my advise.. There are many guys and girls here and they'll all tell you the same thing.. Your tires are your lifeline... I preach this constantly to my own girlfriend who also rides.... She has heard many many time about taking care of her tires.. Even the best tires require care.. It takes a little time to learn what they want from you in the way of air pressure for you given style of riding..
Like I stated already we all want you to be here posting for a long time to come. The bst tires money can buy is the first step equipment wise to assure that will be the case.. Good luck to you on this..
