oil light keeps coming on. need help

hey guys, i got a oil pressure problem. i burst my oil pan a few weeks back. got it fixed then raced a few times and now my oil light flickers on and off . i alreAdy vented the system by cracking open the filter to expel the air but it still did not work? has anyone else had this problem if what was your fix.

Forget to get the oil sending wire tight after reinstalling the pan ?

is that at an idle , or when the rpms are up ? if the light comes on during higher rpms , the sump pickup maybe too close to the pan. the pan can get pulled up and starve the pump.
I am not sure if there is anything there to maintain the proper distance to the bottom of the pan.

if it is low at an idle, it maybe bearing wear from the loss of oil when the pan was broke.

loose sending unit wire/
bad sending unit?
pickup plugged
screen plugged
schrapnel in the oil passages

could be many things

hey, maybe even the pump. but I'd go with trash in the screen first.

Check the oil pressure release valve when you drop the pan...Could be damaged?

I would inspect the Oil pump rotor (replace if nicked up) and install a new oil filter in conjunction with a pan drop and screen inspection.
