Any Air Box Mods?

I know Brock fabbed some airbox mods for the busa when they first came out.

Wondering has anyone come across any airbox modifications, aside from
pulling the metal screen out of the stock filter?

Thanks in advance
Nelson

The air box is the frame, which makes it kinda hard to mod.

I tried alittle something on mine but not sure what or if it worked. When i first got my bike and took a peek into the airbox i noticed that the back of the airbox was flat and the air "basically" had to make a 90* to get into the velocity stacks. I took a peice of thick plastic and cut and shaped it to the curve the back side of the airbox so air would flow into the stacks instead of hitting the back and then into the motor. Not sure if it worked or not, i did not do a before and after on the dyno. But i did pull the mesh off the filter when the bike was tuned...we pulled the airfilter out after i pulled the mesh off and it only made a 1 hp differance at peak hp. This was all done on Schnitz dyno. 187hp 108trq SAE

When I did my flies I couldn't figure out how to get the Air filter out, even though it is visiable while doing them.

How do you get it out?

JJ

Take the two screws out of the plastic cover on the lh side of the frame under the tank cover, and pull it out.

They aren't available for purchase yet. No price and that is a picture of some Muzzy stacks for a 12R..

Put a high power fan to really force the air in the ram air duct..... or just pull the air filter out....instantaneous 3-5hp! But you'll probably be lucky for the engine to last about 5000 miles before taking a dump.
