Dang and I liked the looks of that Yoshi, guess it will have to be one of Brocks. I am looking for minimum 180 something, and 100+ torque. ...TB

The only way you will see HP numbers your looking for is with the Dyno reading in STD not SAE. STD are miss leading, they are the numbers that manufactures show you when they want to impress you. I personally met Brock at the Superbike race in Mid-Ohio this summer and asked him if the dyno numbers he was advertising was in STD or SAE. He told me STD! That explains it. He had his bike there and there was a guy there w/ a portable dyno on site. I asked Brock to run his bike on the Dyno to see what the numbers are, he didn't know that we had both of our 14's there. We have Muzzy's full systems on both bike with pcIII's and I would have ran either or both bikes right after his to compare. He had to go. I dyno'ed, mapped my bike. Are the best we got was 167 at the rear tire. 97 degress and 95 percent humidity. Flies still in. I will play with the flies out next summer. Our bikes are very quick. And pull like freight trains right to red line 11,000 RPM in any or all gears. My point is you want to see which set up makes the most power, go to the dragstrip side by side runs, then switch riders and do it again. That will show the true story. My 2 cents. We love our bikes. Over 5,000 miles on them. Been aroung lake superiour on them 1,900 mile trip. Best bike I have ever owned!

This has been discussed many times here before. Horsepower readings have much more to do with the dyno you test on than the pipe you use. I would be amazed if there was ever much of a difference between pipe "A" and pipe "B" (assuming both pipes are made by reputable tuners).

I agree with you, to a degree though and here's why.
If you take a set of headers with a larger diameter, you will get more peak power and it will stay on the line longer than smaller diameter pipes. Angle and bend also have an effect on flow and restriction. It would be possible to have a difference of say 5-7 HP between pipes IMO...I mean a full system of course. PIcking up 10+ HP from one set to another...no I don't think the differences will be that huge, but 5-7 I can see.

I will post what my ZX14 pulls in SAE & i assure you that it is pulling far better than 165hp.
I'm not tooting Brocks horn & I'm actually a Muzzy's Fan. But, I can tell you this
A: Pull the flies, then you'll feel what "very quick" is! Trust me.
B: Yosh is not making power even close to the Brock Smeg if that's what they're puttin out.
I believe that Muzzy give's the Smeg the closest run for it's money w/ dyno results that are very close & I chalk that up to just diff. from 1 bike to another.

I agree w/ you. This is the best streetbike I've ever owned!

i had a muzzy full, t.r.e & p.c with the dynojet zx14 map that made s.a.e 169 hp. & 99 torque .......i was pissed!!! didnt feel right to me at all . took it my dyno guy to remap & he got s.a.e 175 hp & 104 torque. still a bit disappointing but it runs great. the dynojet map for the muzzy sucked! it really did. now im putting in the freeflow foam custom air filter, brisk "ar10zs" racing plugs, remove flies & get it remapped & dyno'd again. im hoping to break 180 hp with the new mods. & every dyno reads different bye the way. good luck with your ride..........

As long as people state what measurement standard they are using we all know where we are. But as already said, figures obtained will vary from bike to bike and dyno to dyno, that's before all the other variables are considered.
Me? I let my performance at the strip speak for itself. The dyno is just a guide to setting up. So I care not if another guy has 200bhp to my 192 if I do 205mph and he does 198.

I can send you my custom mapped data which is similar to your mods and pipe. Assuming you have the TRC full exhaust, pull that stupid end restricter baffle out, it's robbing you 7-10hp off the start.

Your A/F readings between 3000 - 6000 RPM is a bit lean....is that the best your tuner could do?
