OK guys and gals, listen up. Kawasaki doesn't know it but their head of design for the ZX-14 is a Suzuki mole. He was planted there to make sure the 14 doesn't sell. First the horrible...ok, to harsh a word...the questionable bodywork of the 14, then the white and red 14 with the flames..now this. Truthfully...does kawasaki listen to it's customers at all?

Hey Kawi wake up and get the design and graphics department some professional help.
This is your flagship bike. The bike that represents the pinnacle of Kawasaki engineering. Make it available in your traditional corporate color!! Please!! This bike looks awesome in Kawi green with the black lowers.
In case you guys have missed it Kawi Green is only offered in bikes with the R designation so you wont see a Kawi green 14 untill you see the ZX-14R which by the way will be a 1398 and our ZX14 will become the ZZR1400

Quit passing on bullshit information. Kawi has realeased a number of lime [racing] green sportbikes without the "R" designation. Here are just a few...EX250, EX500, ZX7, and ZX6E.

The only thing you are right about is the ZX14 becomming the ZZR1400. Only because they are already one in the same. The ZX14 is desingated the ZZR1400 overseas. Wow, you really saw through that one

Ok, not everyone is going to like the same things. I personally, being an older hot rodder, like flames. Not sure I like the colors shown..but hey they are least making an effort to do something new...that NO OTHER sport bike manufacturer is doing...offering a custom paint option. I will wait to make my final decision on liking or disliking until I see all of the custom options available. Even then, just because I dont like or do like what is offered doesnt mean that everyone else will agree with me. Thats called individuality, which is a great thing. I sure as hell am not going to put someone down because they either like or dislike something. I dont even do that to busa owners. I just smoke them LOL. Oh and by the way..both flames are pinstriped. The green flames are pinstriped with blue and the yellow flames are pinstriped in black...j/k LOL. Just my $.02

take a classy, clean bike, and make it as gaudy as possible.

The kids who like this stuff will be buying zx6, zx636 for stunting and such.
Not too many mature riders want to wear circus colored gear, or a bike that resembles anything like that.

Flames are for hot rods, bucket roadsters, and harleys.

If the flames were the same color as the bike but a slight shade off, to create a sublime graphic, I could live with that, but those guady colors are gay.
Too much, and too drastic.

I'm just gonna follow Navigator's lead and make mine clean with a carbon and ceramic coated 3rd gen and get rid of the shiny stuff . . .

Tempted to send off the parts to zx1kr for painting but I can't make up my mind on a new color. I know, how about Zune brown to match the wheels? :P

Hats off to kawasaki for having the balls and trying something different. I would definately like to see the kawasaki green from the 00 12 find its way on to the 14. I wonder what other paint schemes they will come up with. I'll admit i'm not a fan of the above pics but.............

Add me to the list of those not pleased with the flame job or the color combination. I'll give kudos to Kawi for trying something different (offering OEM custom stuff) but for god sake do an opinion poll or survey the current owners or SOMETHING. The crap they are coming up with (these flames and the white bike with flames) aren't going to appeal to most of the people that are buying this bike. Note, I said MOST, not all. Some folks will like it, but the majority won't. That metallic Kawi green, the metallic red, and that deep metallic orange were nice colors. Offer some shit like that. I'd be up for buying another set of plastics to change my colors.
