Anyone what to take a guess???
I added a few inches to the wheel base of my zx14 today ...She now sets at 62 1/2 inch wheel base..I also added some mirror block offs ( looks really cool) also added a non oring chain..
I will be going to our 1/8 mile track for test and tune Wednsday night ...My best at this track stock wheel base was 6.00 @124 ...I have gone 5.99 but not at this track....
So what do you think it will run ?????????????
I looking for 5.80s if the the track is hooking, if it went 5.70s i may have a stroke ...  Smokin...

Pictures? I would think it would pick up at least .1 probably, what 60 and 330 were you getting before?

Mid to high 1.50s 60s and 4.01 to 4.08 330s ... Should see some 140s 60s and high 3.80 330s if the track hooks ...Smokin..

I like that guess.... We have a gal here with a zx14 about 6 over and nothing but a sidewinder and no P/C that has run 5.77 ..I don't remember her MPH ....And that run was in the heat of the summer ....We are going to be in the high 60s , so better air for me .... Only problem i see is will the track hook ....and that's allway a big IF at our track .....I'm sure i'm making more power than her but can i use it?......Smokin...
Oh i should add in the 1/4 mile she could only run 9.20s and i did 9.18 with no arm added.. So her not having a P/C and a good map has killed her top end pull ...

I have no doubt you could go 8.90's consestantly (spelling?). It will take some getting used too because you won't have to be so easy with the clutch hand now....i just wonder how much it's going to effect the bike with stock gear and the flies in.

1/8 mile ET... 5.87
1/8 mile MPH..124.06
CrotchRocket was right on what run it would happen on...Third run was the 5.87 pass..
First run i spun to a 6.24 .... Run number 2 I bogged(not wanting to spin like run number 1) and ran a 6.09 ....
We only got 3 runs in 5 hours....SUCKS BIG TIME!!................I can tell you this bike needs some gear with the extra arm so ill put my 16 tooth on..That will give me a bit more arm (63 inches)... I didn't use my front end strap tonight because i thought the tire would spin....My third run it did wheely and i backed off the throttle just a bit....I pulled the strap tight for the 4th run but we never got to run...It's going to take a few more runs but it's going to run 5.70s when i get my 60s into the low 1.40s.....I loss some MPH because i had to run the tire( stock Battax) at 18 psi to get it to hook ... I have a Usoft that i will be installing shorty ... I'm pretty happy with the 5.80s seeing the temps where 69 deg and 80% humidity.... Smokin..

Oh one other thing the girl with the zx14 was there and i got all the mods that she is running ... Muzzy sidewinder ..NO P/C !! Air shifter .....U4 fuel..... Flys out ....Air filter in place with the screen removed ... Shinko 180 tire ... 8 inches over on the wheel base ... She weights 130 pounds ...She ran a 1.51 60 .... 5.78 @ 128 ....I saw the 128 mph ticket !!! holy shitt thats some MPH !!! Smokin...

Good job Lee. Now all we need to see is some 1/4 mile #'s. I can't believe she went thru all that trouble with her 14 and didnt even put a pc on it....kind of a waste.

Way to go Smokin. Make sure you do a good burnout on that new tire. Those Shinko's are slick until you get that coating off. Ask me how I know? I spun my first pass doing a light burnout.

Shinko and 16 tooth front sprocket install ....I'm going to the 1/4 mile track Sat if the weather holds ....Our 1/4 mile track is much better that our 1/8 mile track and i have always run a quicker 1/8 mile ET and MPH there... The gear should help my 60s ....My zrx1200 with the same gears would 60 foot 1.38 to 1.39 but the zx14 is a bit shorter at 63 inches Vs the zrx at 65 inches......By the way the 16 tooth Vs the 17 tooth added a 1/2 inch more wheel base..Was 62 1/2 now 63 ...Smokin....

Way to go smokin'. So will you ever go back to stock wheelbase? How do you like the ride over the stock 'base? I bought my bike and put a whopping 6 miles on it and took completely apart and never knew how the stock 'base felt.

Rick i allready had a 16 tooth vortec sprocket ...But i do like the factory Kawi sprocket with the damper better ...Lee..
