It seems that many people on here have been using the pro line ppl-14610 which can be found at pep boys... that is the longer one, the shorter one, (just by a little bit) is ppl014612. If they don't have the Proline, I believe that they can cross referance them. I have heard on here that the OEM part is not good at all... (look through the history as there is a very good write up and test available). I heard that the Fram is not much better. That is all I know. I have always used the OEM filter... but those on here say that the 12.99 is better spent!! Just make sure to have a filter removal tool as they hammer those things on there quite well!! Look back at the threads.. there is a ton of info!!

To save you for searching for something called a "Proline", I think 3&3 meant to say "Purolator Pure One".
There are plenty of positive references and technical write-ups about the Pure One versus other aftermarket filters, do a quick google and do some reading if you're curious.

Just for your info, FRAMs are some of the worse oil filters out there, I have yet to see any recent (in the last 5 years) good reviews of the FRAM filters. Pure One and Mobil always seem to top the charts in the same period of time.

proline is a purolator private label, like a "bargain filter" if you will, uses the same numbering system as Purolator. these are $3 filters, im sure the Pure One's are more expensive. I cant wait, delaer got my bike in today, should be built in 8-10 days

I use oem but that was because it was available to me. I used the shorter 002 rather than the stock 004 to clear up room for my brock exhaust. Those fuckers are on there tight!!

I think it is also a good idea to change the oil drain plug to a magnitic pick up one.
