More dragracing.....

Ok we had pretty good conditions lastnight. Track was poop when we got there....they havent figured out you cant just spray VHT on the track and it will hook, it has to be drug and packed into the track. My first few runs were ok nothing special 9.30-9.40. The bike was still pulling shitty 60's...but when the track came around i busted out a 9.25 at 150. The bike was still spinning the tire and i pulled a 25 out so i was happy. i had to lean out the PC before i seen any results from the mr9. I strapped my lighter cousin on the bike and he blasted out a 9.04 at 152 with a 1.42 60!! the bad thing was he wheelied and had to "pat" it a few times to get the front end down.....Damn that was a 8.90's pass. I think i'm going to go 1 more tooth on the gear and 1 more inch on the swingarm and hopefully that will put me in the teens-0's. i know i have a teen in me i just have to get the bike to hook alittle better. It's almost time for another tire but i'm trying to hold off for the year. Going to have a new set of wheels/tires for next year. This fat guy will hit the gym this winter and drop a few pounds for next year.

Awesome job!
Sorry to ask again, but what are your mods to date,
and you are a little over 200lbs.?

I finally figured out my faults after taping a few other riders
and comparing it to a video of myself.

I should be much fater next time out.

gen3 pc 6 out +2 -1 flies out and airshifter. With my helmet and jacket and fully clothed i'm 235. Cousin weighs in at about 175 with gear. I just have to lose some weigh to keep up with him. I'm going another inch out and another tooth on the back. I'm going thru the traps at the top of 5th speedo says 180..lol. Coming out of the hole hard, i hold it at about 8 grand and hammer it at the last second..so i'm letting the clutch out around 11...This is my style and i'm sure alot of people will tell me it's wrong. i need to get some video of this posted sometime. I show no mercy!

Good job!
Thanks for the report!

I live in Fountain City IN, but the tracks at Muncie IN...about 800ft altitude. Bikes 6 out but i cant remember what stock length is so.......63" maybe? Chain and sprocket are here today dont think i will have time to install them. This is the last "Fast and Furious" night at muncie for the year..so i might just run it. I'll be a inch longer wednesday.......Damn if only my personal life was that easy!! lol

Bently...brock has his diary, so maybe we need ours. I'll drop weight if you drop weight and we'll keep each other informed. I want to be 180 but i havent been under 200pounds since i was 15! But damn it, i can bench press 350 pounds..lol

GOod numbers - Muncie is known to be liberal with MPH but the 14's are strong runners. Stock wheelbase is 57.5...

Step'd on scale tonight i was 219...I watched what i ate last summer and got down to 206 without exercise...so i'm hoping this winter with a part time job and constant running i shouldnt have time to eat.

It's more cost effective to lose weight then it is to change parts on the bike to lighter stuff...

Best part is that if you dont eat as much you'll spend less on food tooand go faster...It's a win-win situation

I had a few people standing behind me on the line when i launched it...it pulled alittle wheelie and they said you can watch the front end dip to one side and the back tire wanting to pull the opposite way. I dont feel any of this on the bike, but i had a few people telling me. I checked the bolts and there tight. I always heard any bike...stretched out 6 or over needs bracing. Not sure on the the arm yet...maybe a Trac with underbracing.
