Both!
With optional XM subscriptions and an XM antenna, you can check the weather, move ahead of traffic and listen to the radio when you travel with zûmo. As an alternative, zûmo can receive optional TMC traffic alerts (in select cities) when used with a compatible traffic receiver. Simply press a button on the screen, and zûmo recalculates your route to avoid traffic tie-ups.

All that can be done with the current 2820, but the Zumo has a more updated user interface and may be somewhat more sophisticated in the way it handles user data input. I'm using a 2820 on my 14 and if you do a lookup on this site "GPS Installed" you can see it mounted on my bike now. Works great, BT HF all in as well...

i will take two..... reminds me of a joke....guy gos to the pet shop and wants to buy his wife something. he asks the sales guy if he has anything for his wife . the guy says no but I have a frog that gives really good blow jobs. the guy thought about it for a minute and said what the hell I will take it. that night his wife has a head ache and sleeps on the sofa. the guy takes the frog out of the box...... a half hour later the wife wakes up and hears a lot of noise in the kitchen and gos out to look. she finds the husband trying to teach the frog to cook and asks what the hell is going on. the husband says if this frog does not burn my food your the hell out of here
