30 hp dry shot on a zx14
Any thoughts on a 30 hp dry nitrous shot on a bone stock zx14? Im only using it for drag racing. Any pics of where 2 place silenoid and hide a bottle would be greatly appreciated. And is any1 doing this, results would help.

Hide a bottle, your kidding, right?.......................The only place I can think of is under the tail, above the tire, but that would very unsafe. If that bottle got loose and became entangled in the rear wheel............................................................

hiding bottle
Im thinking of hiding 1 up front. there looks like a little room under the ram air covers. I cant put it in back(my air shifter set-up is already filling that space up). If some1 has pics of what they have done i would like 2 see em. thanks again

I'm not gonna hide mine, but will be finished with it in about a week. Will try the 24hp shot first. Muzzy is making a drykit that is a 50 shot. Dunno where you could hide the bottle, but it's all plug and play. You will definately have to have a powercommander as you will need to add more fuel at 100% throttle. Without the powercommander the engine will probably just bogg. Nitrous is just an oxidizer, it relies on the addition of fuel to produce power. No extra fuel, no extra power.

I was thinking i could get away without a powercommander? Its only a 30hp shot. I used it on my 12. I was thinking i heard stock bikes were real fat anyways. I geuss we will see.

Hack out the rear portion of the seat and hide it under the seat cowl.
And Phil you could probably get away with 30-40 horsepower without messing with anything just like the 12R. Make sure the nitrous sprays on the inlet air temp sensor to trick the engine into thinking it needs more fuel. The ECU will do the rest, UP TO A POINT.....

Whats with all this hidding nitrous nonsense???
People watching will know by your mph, so dont bother killing yourself hidding the bottle, then trying to access it...

We will now
zxlnt; goot point, never thought about that. It fools the ECU and it dump the fuel. And it's fat enough on top that it probably wouldn't hurt anything.
You could probably get a sneaky pete bottle under the rear side area, where the rear fairing has a bulge in it. Or, get one of those seat packs that straps to the seat. Guys use them for there wallets and cell phones, and probably a nitrous bottle. Just sneak the hose in under the seat cowl.

Hey bob, where do you have the jet??? Is it at the back of the airbox? Schnitz said I should run it through the airfilter for better atomization. Getting my kit on Tuesday. BOOOOOST!!

Look at the pic ....... rite where the nylon line goes up.
There is a factory welded tube inside the air box with a bolt in the bottom.
I removed the bolt, fed the nylon line up thru the tube. It discharges rite in
the top center of the air box.
Once you feed the nylon line up (where you remove the bolt) seal it up
with a small dab of silicon. The only reason I say to seal it, is I was'nt
sure if the nylon line would start walking backwards or not, just a pre-
caution.
You'll see when you take yours appart ......... sweet and easy install !
