Driver pegs

Put on the Buel driver pegs yesterday, and all I can say is WOW. Made the already good ergos even better. Great mod for less than 40 bux. I had been running the stockers sans pads to lower them a little, felt good, but didnt like the look. The Buels look great, had to lower the shift lever a notch and also lower the brake petal. I am very pleased with it...TB

Drops your feet 1 1/4 inches, that's one and one quarter inches .BIG DIFFERENCE! It's now 1/4 inch lower than a FJR1300. Very cool indeed.

I've already been told that my feet & pegs are just about dragging when I'm riding hard... I wish I could lower the pegs to get more legroom, but it's not gonna happen.

Ok, Ok, Ok, PN N00061AD Driver pegs for the Buel XB12. Cost me $27.90, tax included. You have to drill the pin hole to fit, and then grind the sides to narrow them a little. They are all aluminum, and easy to modify. Use the stock return spring. Easy. I will try to get a cople of pics soon.....TB

Seems that I heard that the hole that needs to be drilled is the actual peg mount on the motorcycle, not the new peg. Is that correct? Does that mean that once you convert, you can't go back to the stock pegs?

I think just the pegs need slight mods. This means you can easily put back to stock.
This is a popular mod for other bikes as well.
I found these how to photos on a Blackbird forum. It gives you the basic idea. Check it out:

Yes you just mod the pegs, and can go back to stock at any time. I used a bit the correct size with a set of Vise Grips to hand drill the peg hole to size, and used a grinder to equally cut each side of the peg to fit. Cut a little and try untill you get it perfect.....TB
