Review of Corbin Seat

Received the Corbin seat this afternoon. The quality is fantastic. The instructions said you may have to adjust the seat, but all you have to do is make sure the seat is tight against the tank under the prongs and the seat went right on. The seat feels like it about 6 pounds heavier, but there is no comparison with the stock seat when it comes to quality. The tail section fits on the seat like stock, except that it fits better and comes with quality screws that uses allan head drivers to secure. If your tail section touched the other body work with the stock seat it will not touch with the Corbin. The fit of the Corbin seat was absolutely perfect. I took it for a 40 mile ride and I must say I am impressed with the comfort. I gained a little over a quarter inch in leg room. I went around tight corners "hanging" off. What is nice about the Corbin is, you know exactly where your ass is when hanging off. I like that. I had a question posed to me on my original thread about do you sit in the seat, or on top of the bike, on the seat. All I can really say is, the seat feels neutral. You don't feel your in the bike and you don't feel your on top of the bike. There is plenty of room to move around and you feel no vibration through the seat. This is my first Corbin and now I am going to buy one for my Beemer. It takes about 200 miles to break the seat in, but I am happy with how it is now. Here are the pic's

Quick question-

How tall are you? Does it change the reach to the handle bars at all?

Thanks,

Tim

I don't see how you can really hang off with that thing...It's really dished... Unless you want to give yourself a wedgie!

It's not hard at all. I support myself on the pegs anyway and just shift over..................It doesn't feel as deep as it looks..............come to vegas and I'll let you ride it! You can feel the edge of the seat. But, that lets me know how much I'm hanging. When I went to track school, I thought i was really hanging off and I really wasn't. Now I know.........It's a different feeling for sure, but it's not bad.

The reach feels different, but I can't explain why. When I ride it more, I'll let you know. The reach feels the same, but it is different! I'm 6'0" tall. It could be the little hump near the tank prevents you from putting pressure on the tank.................
