w00t! we have a genius. how many people are going to try and correlate examples that include many variables with which bike is faster. well, im sure many already know this if you watched the video. neither of those bikes are stock. and what happened to the rider skill factor. I AM ALL FOR zx-14 !!!!!!!!!! so dont get me wrong, but this video proves nothing on the fact of which bike is faster.

p.s. if you werent implying in this nature then i sincerely apologize.

I hate to admit it but that 14 left the line before and harder than the Busa. Not that I'd do better, with my experience at a drag strip limited to a 1990 F250 Diesel and 1988 GL1500, but that 14 rider has much better drag skills than the Busa rider. That said, the 14 did seem to be pulling away hard even after the Busa rider woke up at the line.

Yep, Yep, Yep clearly the 14 got the hole shot. Did you hear the bog down the 14 had as it left the line? Must be hard to launch! I don't know why we need to keep comparing the NEW ZX-14 to the older Busa. We know the 14 has more power in stock form. With all the games KMC played with the ECU to control the power how can you compare these bikes stock anyway. Didn't the Busa originally came out without this crap? The busa also has a smaller motor. I think its amazing anyone could get nearly 200 crank horses out of an 83 cubic inch motor in the 14. I will be interested to see how long this engine will go before it needs a rebuild. I would also like to see how fast a stock unrestricted flat out 14 will go, its gotta be close to 200 mph.

Great video though, what did the 14 turn - hard to make out on this ol computer.

My thinking exactly....was all about the rider there...show me more....like the same rider doing the 1/4 on each bike....to be fair.

That looked like Coby Adams bike with Ricky Gadson riding ...The other bike is a Turbo Busa and i think i know whos bike it is.... Both are pro riders and both bikes run mid to low 8s in the 1/4 mile .....It looks to me that the turbo bike had problems like maybe a clutch ... That race could go either way at anytime......

Yeah, there is too much attributed to rider ability than actual performance of the bike at the drag strip where timing lighst are involved...Sure we all know the internet stories of a guy on a busa that beat someone on a 14 or a GSXR1000 that "smokes Busas" on the dragstrip or on a random roll on on the highway...But there is simply too much rider error and inaccuracies involved for that to be an accurate gauge of the actual performance of one bike VS another...

If you look at the motorcycleusa test they use vbox data which eliminates as much rider error as possible and is probably the best way to measure the actual performance of the bike...The 14 is faster in 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile, 0-180 than the Busa...the 14 had a 0-60 time of 2.61 seconds which is rediculously fast for a stock bike...The busa had a 0-60 of 2.77 seconds which isn't too shabby and it's still a rocket for a stock bike...

They got a best 0-60 of 2.92 on the ZX10 and 2.89 on the GSXR1000...Forget hearsay tales of GSXR1000's and ZX10's "smoking" ZX14's...Vbox data is accurate and repeatable and vbox data says no stock bike is touching a stock 14...The 1000cc bikes are fast but the 14 is faster.

The ZX14 is the fastest production motorcycle in the world right now.

The numbers don't lie...Stock Busa's and ZX14's are faster than stock 1000cc sportbikes...And the ZX14 is the fastest.

Well...that's true...I've had Busa's, have a 10 and a 14....no question -- the 14 is the fastest of all of them...when you launch it at 5K from a start...but the 10 will eat it in in roll-ons in the low-midrange, unless you mod the 14 by removing the flies...then the advantage goes back to the 14 in roll-ons.

Depends on the Turbo kit and how much boost its running. Not all Turbo Busa's have 400 horsepower...

All we ever here the busa smaller motor never wanted to hear that with the zx12 with the shoe on the other foot regardless all three bikes run very well I just like to ride watch live and breath fast motorcycles. But then again seems Kawasaki always wants to build the most H.P. out of the smaller motor

Sounded like a great launch to me.
So maybe I will have trouble w/launches?
I haven't been to the strip yet but none of my practice launches have been that good.

Suzuki fell right into Kaw hands, Did you all forget that kaw is the king of horsepower so they put out the zx14 to be the king of the streets, now the horsepower wasn't what most people expected seeing as though the zx12 was 162rwhp but the torque is what seperated the 12 and 14, now suzuki say we we don't need a 1500cc motor we can out do kaw with a 1340cc, now kaw is releasing the zx14 horsepower they know that the after market pipes are coming out, the honey combs will be altered or removed wich means more HORSEPOWER...think about why would kaw have that torque dip at 3000 rpms for the 06 and 07 but NOW its not there...guess what they didn't need the bike to perform to its potential. how in the hell can you restrict a bike even more and come up with more horsepower.....It's kawaski the king of horsepower. now when Suzuki put out a bike with a 100 more cc WE ALL KNOW WHY!!!!!

WoW and that shows us what? hasn't all the discussion been about the 08 Busa and 08 14 not a couple of race bikes.
I suppose I could post multible videos of Busa's just walking all over 14's and that would prove nothing.

Very well said!!! Get with the times people THE NEW 14 IS FASTER THAN THE OLD 14, AND THE NEW BUSA IS WAY FASTER THAN THE OLD BUSA.
