Coolant Level

I tried to top off my reserve tank and it was showing full. I took the body work off, took the radiator cap off, got it up to operating temp (cap off) and it comsumed quite a bit off coolant. Capped it off while running and It is now runng a block cooler. Check your coolant systems they could be low , mine was, and the reserve tank showing OK.

Drained mine and went with Water Wetter and distilled water. Put in about 1/2 jug of the wetter. Been raining here every day since so havent got out but for a short run, but seems to run a lot cooler, plus just running in the shop at an idle seems to take longer for the fan to come on. Did put on the Muzzy fan while I was messing, and that thing moves some air. I think it will be fine now.....TB

If you want to - The Watter wetter and distilled water is the best for cooling,
but that combo offers no freeze protection. If cold is not a problem where
you live, its the best !

I added a 70/30 mix of anti-freeze and distilled water. Thats 70 % distilled water 30% anti-freeze. Thats supose to be the best mixture for cooling and you need the 30% prestone for lubricating the water-pump bearings.

What fan did you use the Muzzy ???? Because with out modifications
mine would not fit. And I don't have a small balancer if I were to cut the
blades to the teplet they sent with it. So how did it go in ??????????

Mine too. It actually hit the max and started flashing "High Temp" on the dash screen before I got out of the bumper to bumper traffic was was able to wick it up again. She cooleed right down, but I am going to check my coolant levels in the radiator as well. My reserve is also showing full.
