Yah, methinks it's for promo more than anything else. If the cop fubars it and spreads himself in a thin layer over the interstate, ain't noone gonne be happy bout that...

The cops here are getting the Honda ST1300PA . Most of the Harleys and Kawasaki 1000s they have are getting kinda long in the tooth. I don't believe they will be getting any additional training.

Got some real brain surgeon's replying:

Ive had my Hayabusa for a year now. Its difficult to decribe how capable this bike is. Fast, stable, comfortable, excellent handling, and 50 mpg at 75mph. High cross wind is managable on this bike. I bet the Oklahoma police officers will love the all powerful feeling 99 foot pounds of torque. (I pulled away from a dead stop with my wife on the back in 6th gear if that gives you an idea.)

Sorry mother fucker. There is NO bike that can take off in 6th. Talk to the hand.

Seeing more and more BMW K1200RT police bikes down here in Texas... the cops are finally getting smart. Well, all but Fort Worth and Dallas PD anyway, they are still riding sorry-ass Road Kings. One day they'll wise up and start buying bikes that can accelerate, handle, AND brake.

And now that I look closer at that R1200RT, that wasn't what pulled me over in Travis County last weekend. It was the older R1150RT...
