Front brake hose routing?

Does anyone know why they routed it this way rather than 2 hoses directly to each caliper?
Seems odd, more parts, weight, and expense?
I am thinking of stainless lines but do not want to run the left hose from the right caliper like the stock setup.
I want to lose weight, and on my motocross bikes, have experienced better brake feel and performance from hose routing that is more direct, with less curves.
Has anyone found kits for their previous bikes to simplify and cut the excess fat ?
Does anyone make kits with direct brake hose routing for other bikes?
Thanks in advance.
PS ... I am not in any way complaining about the brake performance, I was looking to shed weight, increased looks and performance would be a bonus!

That's the cleanest/lightest setup we are both are looking for Dubious. It's too bad the length and bends may have to be custom made if aftermarket doesn't specifically tool up for the 14.
That's the down side. On the up side, there is no need for banjo bolts. That will take a simple swap from the right fork caliper and replace the double length banjo to the M/C. Change the master's banjo with the right caliper, 7 new crush washers, and we are good to go.
My quick measurements were 30/31" left brake line to bottom of master, and 24" on the master to the right caliper. I calculated an inch either way to see if I can find pre-mades somewhere in this length?
It's funny you should mention this Dub. I was going brake line hunting at a few local shops tomorrow to compensate for taller bars. I'll be using Heli's adaptors for height, and then bolt/weld(?) a platform onto the adaptors. Drill the perch holes and use a taper style (1'' to 7/8') bar to sit up a little taller. The clutch cable hose is partial steel and part rubber hose. Carefully bending the steel part of the hose will add length up and to the rear if needed. A replacement clutch line would be much cleaner, and of course lighter.

I believe it's due to the ABS setup...most ABS bikes are done this way...

Brake lines are already available. Saw them at my shop. I believe they were Fastline.

Brocks has all for sale ... clutch too! but the fronts are 1 into 2 again.
I am looking for 2 into 2 from the mastercyl right to the calipers.
I noticed the banjo bolts will interchange properly too!
Some outfits sell custom lengths...
Sure it will not be too hard to find.
In fact I know a guy in Edmonton who makes em, just need to verify I.D. as his seemed pretty thin!
