Serius blk and the 14 vs mod 12r

Heres the story. Friend has a 12r with muzzy 4 to 1 and power commander. He told me he was going to try me as soon as the bike had enough miles and oil change. Well today he got his wish. First runs from a stand still, both bikes start off and bog down then excelerate. Hes been riding his bike long and had a bike and 1/2 jump. Pulling from first to second with the wheel down which can be difficult at times. The 14 pulled him in second and pulled away from him in third. I couldnt believe how hard it pulls in 2nd and 3rd. Our next few runs he got good starts. About 3 bikes and I couldnt catch him. We even rolled from 20 mph. In these times he would pull away from me do to the 14 taking such awhile to hit the power band. Anytime he was a bike length ahead and the wheel staying on the ground I could pull him and pass him. We took some time to let the bikes cool off. I left and went and started practicing my take off. I found with this bike I would hold rpm at 4000 and slowly let the clutch out. A few runs of doing this and I had it down for the most part. Im not a drag racer just a rider that has been riding for about 15years. I only have a tape of ricky gadson showing you how to launch a bike. With this in mind I went back to tell my friend what I have learned about the bike. He wanted to run again. This time we ran 4 times and each time a draged the clutch too get the bike rolling. I jumped him each time and he didnt come close to catching me. The 14 definitly has the power, it comes down to how you handle it. Its the easiest bike to launch. I have had guys talking big crap about running me. These guys ride busas heavily modified with 6 to 8 inch swingarms and droped. And they want to run me on a stock bike. In my opinion its much easier to race a bike that has been droped and stretched. It takes riding skill to be able to do it with totally stock bike. The guys that talked that crap. Their time is coming. I need more time riding and learning this bike. One thing I can say " Its a very good bike" Kaw did a good job on this one. Stay tuned to the next episode of Serius blk and the 14

I have 970 miles on it. Im not trying to be a pro drag racer. I just want to be able to spank a few people from time to time. To the good guy who wants to be the english teacher. This is just a forum not english class. If you want to be critical and look for errors in paragraphs go to a teaching forum. Im just trying to share some information to the other riders. Thank you and have a nice day.
