Reed valve block off plates?

Do you guys recommend the reed valve block off plates when installing a new after-market exhaust?

I thought this bike was a close loop fi system. if so, that would have a big effect on fueling. if not, go for it!

VERY good point, I haven't looked for an O2 sensor. I haven't done any mods to a closed loop system without a reprogram, I consider a reprogram essential and I await the arrival of maps from Muzzy. I'm still awaiting the Muzzy Ti/Ti oval. When I install the new pipe would be the time for the block off plates but you're right, not without a reprogram if it's a closed system.

I'll wait for the experts to chime in, but was thinking the block off plates would make the map go way way lean, since you wouldn't get all the oxygen it was expecting.

Wouldn't less air make the map rich?

I installed the Muzzy Block offs.

No difference in performance ........... Allowed the removal of the Ca. emissions
Shaved some weight, did not affect the running at all.

There is no 02 sensor to tell the ECU whats in the exhaust - block offs wont
affect anything ................ except an emissions test.

No O2 sensor means no closed loop FI.
