No Busas but i killed two Gixxers...
I when out tonight to get some more miles on the new zx14 and i hoping to get to play with a Busa or two... I ran into to friends with modded Gixxers that i ride with now and then .... This is not what i wanted to happen, I Know that the gixxers where going to give me trouble... Both bikes dyno'ed in the mid 160s and both are great roll on racers... I just knew i was going to get my ass handed too me so i really didn't want to race either one of them ...But here i am on a new zx14 bad boy and two bad ass Gixxers , How could i save face if i didn't race them ????? So i said what the hell lets go for it....I have never been so worried in my life!!! The first race we went from a 60 MPH roll in second gear and i pulled about 2 bikes on the first Gixxer and won the race !!!! We did it again and i got him by 3 or 4 bikes.... Damn i'm on a roll here ... I lined up with the next Gixxer that was the faster of the two bikes and the guy is the man to beat around this parts, everyone is gunning for this guy ... Again 60 mph roll i won by two bikes again !!! For the second race with the second Gixxer he ask if we could go from 40 mph in second gear.. I say ok ..I wasn't happy about that speed because the zx14 doesn't seem to have that much power in the lower RPMs.. But i said what the hell i got 3 wins in the bag and could lose one race and not lose face ...We started at 40 second gear and i put 3 bikes on him right from the start and ended up being a 4 bike win!!! We didn't get to hang around and talk about the race because guess who shows up and chases us..When i got home i called both of them and this is what they had to say ,once you pulled a few bikes on us we could not come back on you and somewhere around 160 to 170 you started pulling more on us . Any way we all got home safe with no tickets ...I was very happy about the out come of all four races and will have no fear of a liter bike again ...Just wait untill i get my pipe !!!

ZX-10R, GSXR1000, they are all just liter bikes and can't run upstairs with the big boyz.

Don't know how you did it but...good show. They shoulda handed you your ass on a plate at those speeds in 2nd, or 1st for that matter, you musta been running the "cold map" :P

No the bike was very well heated up,no where near cold mode... Fast it really blew me away that it pulled so hard from 60 and even more so that it pulled from 40... The bike just does not feel strong at thoese RPMs But i guess the bike is so smooth and big that i doesn't give us the feel of a strong hit like a zx10 or Gixxer...We must be making way more torq than we think.. I was shocked when i pulled out on them and i was thinking ohhh myyy when that Gixxer hits his power band at 8 grand i'm done for, It just never happened... I could not shake them, they where right there just waiting for me to make a mistake.. If i had missed a shift or bumped the REV limiter i would have been over taken for sure...Be sure that the liter bikes are no joking matter, one slip up and you are done for!!! I think we would have a much easier win over a busa than a liter bike ...I know my zx10 would pull a Busa with ease...But up top 160 170mph busa would start pullin back and given more time and road Busa would have done just that .... We know that the zx14 will not let a busa over take us at those kind of speeds... I can't wait to see what this bike go when broke in and piped !!! I know the two gixxers will be gunning for me again and i feel a pipe with give me a much better edge...An extra 15 hp and the Gixxers are done for sure..

How much do you weigh vs. the gixxer boys. Are there bikes geared is your bike geared?
My wifes 06 zx10r walks all over my zx14 but i weigh 50 lb's more. Then i took the 16 tooth sprocket off my zx12 and tried again. In first gear i can pull on her. In second gear she pulls out a bike length and by the top of my second gear i reel her back in. As the race goes further i pull on her and by 150 mph im 3-4 bikes ahead of her. However, any gear roll on from 3rd thru 6th and its no contest the combined hp to weight ratio and shorter gear means the zx14 is no contest. Hmmm, i wonder what will happen if i gear it one up in the rear and add a pipe? I'll no this answer in a few weeks!

I weigh 140 race ready ... The Gixxer friends weight is 180 and 200 But seeing my zx14 has about a 100 more pounds than the Gixxers i think it comes out pretty even ...I have stock gear on mine for now ... the Gixxers where geared one tooth down in front, piped and P/C with a good map .. I saw both of the dyno'ed at the same time i dyno'ed my zx10 , they where around 165 hp and my zx10 was 147 hp.....

Thanks for asking ...These guys have been at this type of racing for years... start at 60 mph and go balls out till one gives up or sees that there is hope of getting ahead ...Believe it or not roll on racing does take some skill to get good at it...

You're just the kinda big bore rider Id like to meet on the big road.
Unless your fat ass is running 8s or going over 200mph on your bike... I wouldnt count liter bikes out.

You can certainly try.....lol
Not only has my choice of bike lost me 100+ lbs... but Ive lost 20lbs from getting in shape.
Im 182 in my leathers now. Used to be over 200lbs fully suited.

Up Date on the Gixxers i raced ...As i posted we had to get out of dodge real fast and i didn't get to talk to the gixxer rider after the races... The faster of the two Gixxers told me i had him buy 2 1/2 to 3 bikes easy...At these kind of speeds i don't look back to see what's going on with the other rider... I could only see his head light shinning one the road so i knew he was close ....He say at the hit i pulled him and never stopped pulling him ...
