revs out fast or slow?
Compared to the literbikes, does this engine seem to rev out slow.
Does it rev as freely or pick up rpm as quickly?
does this engine feel like it has alot of flywheel inertia... from 2 counterbalancers?
I ask because I once owned a dodge v10 truck.
Put doug thorley headers on it (it did gain 2mpg btw) along with other simple mods.
I made the same mods a magazine feature truck.
at 375 HP and 550 ft lbs it still was a slow revving engine, kinda like a naturally aspirated diesel.
It was a very torqey engine but simply did not pick up revs nearly as well as i thought it should.
That engine had an enormous crank inertia, and even though it made big torque and decent HP, it felt doggey compared to anything else I have driven or ridden in making those #'s.
Lower gearing would have made it worse, as the engine liked to pull more than rev.
Shit the stock redline was 4000 rpm.
So I'm wondering if the engine inertia seems heavy on the 14?

From 1k-6k it's slow...but from 6k to redline, very, very fast. Do the rev's climb faster than a litre bike? Not really sure yet...but it covers a lot more ground per rev than a litre bike so it's not that relevant, truthfully. I hit redline from 6k in 3rd yesterday like it was standing still...the needle moves up very fast....it's like someone pulled and elastic and just let it go at 6K...it winds up at the speed of light...I hit 300 KMH yesterday a few times from 2nd on and hit 11K each gear change...well, I can tell you that it hit fast -- too fast for anyone else to catch me...it also lifted between each gear and and in the lower gears near the shifts. It was truly spectacular...now I think i'm done with 300KMH...I think I'll just keep the speeds down to no more than 260...damn sacry at 300...fuck.
