...for those of you who put down big-ass comfy luxo-cruisers NOW, I hope that one day you'll get to put some serious daily miles on one and come back with your report...personally, I have always admired them from afar UNTIL I got my very own '95 FLHTC (recently sold it ot my bro in the Islands)....if you ride these bike within its intended design parameters, you'll be one happy camper (especially if you 're pulling a pop-up camper  )...but if you ride it beyond its design parameters, you'll be very sorry and most of all you won't GET IT....
...the moral of the story?....to make anything easier in anything in life, use the right tool for the job...if you don't have time to ride for days and for miles, the full-boat dressers are not for you....save your money, adapt your present bike with bags and have fun....

Wormy...I agree with you and having one of these luxo-cruisers (pig) in my garage, it kills me that I just don't enjoy riding her anymore...and while I'd love to sell her...no one wants to pay even 1/2 of the 60k I have in it...so she'll just make a nice coffee table until the value reaches maturity! I wonder if I can change my user name to F14A when I get her this week....FBA out.

I've got a HD Roadglide witha 103 115hp/117tq and it is a blast. Is it busa ,zx14 fast , don't think so but still fun. The guys on the new goldwings talk about how fast they are, well I had a guy on a big yellow one slicing through traffic to get to me. Well we got a light and I've got my s.o. on the back ,this guy riding solo, we take off and he thought he would just politly dust my arse, but guess what daddy's got as little suprise for him. I actually had enough power where I would let off get back in it let offf get back in it , you know ,fucking with him. I actually had to let out the first time cause the ol lady gave me to much traction and I about flipped the damn thing. Anyhow that was priceless! I learned that day I could leave one effortlessly. Ironically I've had 3 new goldwings but damn I love this Harley.

not so comfortable
After riding my z14 for about two hours my inner thighs get sore. I can feel that curve on both sides of the seat, Its not so bad but I can't imagine riding more than a few hours. And while the forward lean isn't so back its not relaxing enough to drive it more than 150 miles straight. Still like it and take breaks on long trips.

got the wife the 06 screaming eagle cvo v rod...she loves the bike.I just hope all the chrome wont rust . rode it to the harley bar the other night. the old timer harley boys dont like them because of the water cooling. but they love to give it the once over when they think you are not watching. these guys kill me... they say thats not a real harley and I ask them where their knuckle head is.... thats a real harley..... not that new crap that wont leak oil all over the place. or I tell them they are right its not a harley...this one moves when you put it in gear. when h/d makes a bagger vrod with a real gas tank I think a few of those guys will break down and buy one...until then they dont know what they are missing. the cvo 103 inch bagger is a great bike also and it puts the honda matics to shame...road a honda wing a few times and it put me to sleep faster than the lazy boy. wife is planning on a 1550 kit this winter from zippers because she keeps falling behind. I tell her just spend the 10 grand on a zx 1400 but she says she dont wanna look like me...joe rocket

harleys...they got the potato potato potato sound and charge a hell of alot to own it. but thats what most guys want. fella pulls up to me on a 883 sportster with pipes on it. he then tells me his bike is really fast and I tell him it must be because its really loud. the light turns green and he wound the thing out to 40mph in first and it sounded like it wanted to explode and then he looks around for me as if we are racing or some thing. the zx 1400 rolls faster than that with the motor off. I just opened up brocks pipe a little to scare him but stayed behind him...why ruin his good day.....saw some guys harey explode in daytona last year as he got on the on the on ramp and over wound it.... all you cound see was a cloud of oil...a huge bang and a broken piston hanging out of the motor.guy got the clutch in just in time to keep from sliding down the road. boy was he mad> I pulled over behind him in my truck to try to help the poor guy and he said he just spent thousands getting his motor built.
