Anyone have anything to say before someone actually gets one of these bikes home?

This is a bit of a golden time... that waiting period before the 14 actually ends up in yer garage. No one has one yet...

So anyone have any little bits of wisdom? Something you want to look back on in a few months when you've got some riding under yer belt?

Looks like you have too much time on your hands..........but okay,

Color mine black, stuff a turbo with some laughing gas because I figure if I am laughing my ass off, the bike should be too!!! Throw a couple of Dymags with 200 on the rear, derestrict it, three tooth smaller rear sprocket and then wide open till you.........well you get the idea :-)

Now if I can only pull this off..................................................../

...how am I gonna pay for this?....all I need are hamburger-patty lookin' kneepucks to go with the grills....I don't corner/turn fast enough to ever touch them down (unless I'm low-siding), but it'd be THE hot accessory of the year!

From an old racer's point of view on buying the 14, I want to thank Kawasaki for their mantra-like dialing-in of more HP than any other maker... year in, and year out. Any little "brand blip" in between (decades) means nothing to me.
A relic like myself, only sees an engine. I'll ride it any way you sell it.

I do see (when shadowed) the frontal and tail air work. I do appreciate the heat panels. Well, let me take that back. The meat, and two potatoes "appreciates" the heat deflector panels... (Sorry George) this is a bike, not a burger. (finger)

To the K Engineers... I thank you the most.

My 14 will have a "utility" look to it. I did get that wink way before you said it, Sensei.

Thanks fish.

I must say the bike is really growing on me the more I see real pic's.

I still hate the George Foreman/Ferrari filler panels, but I hated the snorkel on my A1 the first time I saw it too. Problem is I've been seeing the 14 for months now and I still hate the filler panels so I don't think they are going to grow on me.

The performance numbers sound great thus far, so I am encouraged about that.

I still love, deeply, my A1 and I have no plans of selling it so when I started to get the itch for a new bike a month ago I decided without much debate that the 14 and Busa were not in the cards because I'd just have two of the same category bikes.

I've owned open class hyperbikes the last three times around and this time decided it was time for a bike that can really carve up the curves thus my new R1, but IF I were to sell my A1 I would certainly look at the 14 to fill that niche.

The Busa (which I like too) is getting very long in the tooth at this point so I think Kawasaki could have a winner with the 14 at least for this year.

Of course rumors abound and Suzuki ain't dumb so we'll see what the "new" Busa brings to the plate. It could be interesting next year.

You now i have been thinking alot about this new Busa that may or may not come out next year ....... I think Zook will do the same thing they did with the new 1000 gixxer Vs the zx10 ... They will build a new improved Busa and may on paper make 3 to 4 hp more than the zx14 just as the new gixxer did or does .... It will not be any faster than the zx14 but it will match it ... The rest will be up to the rider ....I feel the guys at Kawi left a little on the table with the zx14 just in case the need to one up the New busa next year ....... time will tell......Guys don't forget Kawi and zook sell motorcycles and would love nothing better than to sell you a new bike every year.......They don't make money standing by watching you ride the same bike for 8 years.......

I think the ZX14 is one mean looking basterd and always thought so. Now it seems to live up to those bitchin looks too! I might have to sell 1 of mt 10R's and try one of those beasts. They say its a comfy as a LazyBoy?!?!

Might have to do a complete street project Turbo before anyone else does.

Nothin like a low 9 sec LazyBoy!!!

Something to say! Just got off the phone with my dealer and he said that the manufacture told them in would be there in Feburary.. So it was Kawasaki that lied to us all! What the hell! I want to know why the bike has been delayed???
