Pilot Power Fronts Recall

Hi everyone,
I'm new to posting items, but have been reading the forum since I picked up my bike in July 2006. I'm from Scotland, ride all year round, but have only been caught out in the snow once on the ZZR1400. Scary.
I'm currently looking for another set of tyres, averaging about 2500-miles on a rear previously, and have been looking at the Pilot Power 2CT's.
I've just been informed that, in Europe atleast, there has been a recall on certain Pilot Power and 2CT front tyres, and thought it would be good information to share.
I've, hopefully included the Michelin website address which lists the batches of tyres being recalled:

www.michelin.co.uk/uk/front/act_affich.jsp?news_id=20122&lang=EN

It's possible that all the tyres in the USA are okay, but I know there some forum members from this side of the pond also.
I've copied an extract from the site here;

'Because customer safety is its primary concern, Michelin has decided as a precaution to replace certain 120/70 ZR 17 Michelin Pilot Power 2CT and Michelin Pilot Power front tyres, which can be identified by the following markings on the sidewall:

a "Made in France" label
DOT 6UCW 980T or DOT 6UCW 979T
Pilot Power: week numbers 2704 to 0406 inclusive
Pilot Power 2CT: week numbers 4505 to 1807 inclusive
These tyres will no longer be sold by dealers.'

I trust this helps those that need helping.

My wife works at the local dealer(in Toronto, Canada) and they have no idea when they will be getting the new batch.

My ZX9 had a fresh set a month ago....and my front was one of the ones in question. However, that don't matter anymore, I traded the whole bike in on a ZX14 two weeks ago!!!

My next set of tires will be 2CT's. They are awesome. The don't wear in the center as quickly as BT014's!!

I miss my old ZX9! Of course I like the 14 more. A guy had a blue ZX9 on the track the other day that did well. 40+K miles on it and he's still racing it to death
