A newbie's on-road opinion: TrailWing vs 606
Finally got the 606s mounted up last night...went for a curvy on-road route from Mt. Helix homeward though Ramona, Santa Isable, Palomar (all great SoCal roads for you out-of-towners)...not bad squirm...I was riding though the curves almost as fast as I had on the TrailWings...notched back a few MPHs for the deer and coyote factor (it was 1030pm and moonlit somewhat)...hit a dead possum blind in the middle of a curve around the base Palomar like a 65MPH furry speedbump...pretty stable for a knobbie, but what do I know...I'm a newbie!...I like, I think I'll really like this tire for the way I intend to use it...can't wait to get it off-road today...gonna mount some on my KLR650, too!...gonna help a buddy mount more tires today...c'yaz!

A friend with a DR650 has the 606s too. He doesnt do much pavement on them but says they work well on dirt and are worth the extra money.

...tire is suprisingly well mannered on the street...careful when using heavy front brake, tho..it'll slide (I have first hand experience now), but it corners well for a knobbie (at least on the KLX, that is)...the KLR's weight might make the knobs bend and make the bike feel a little more squirmy...
