Some very good dualsport and offroad riders in this group but unlike a lot of sportbike guys, theres no ego. I've done a few rides with most of them, including a 3 day X-country which was great. The organized events always have a "sweep" rider (guy rides after the last rider has left) so you dont have to worry about being stranded and a lot of these guys can fix almost anything, anywhere. Almost each year they do a Baja dual sport trip in January. Good group of folks and there's always a laugh a minute!
Knowing some of these people, the club will be very informal with NO politics. Just folks who want to ride and have a good time.

...I think all the fast lines of a sportbike, aggressive colors, markings of a sportbike, and power ranger suits leads to some fantasyland testosterone filled behavior for some bikers on the pavement...take some of these same riders on more upright dirt capable bikes and looser attire, and a smaller audience, the ego goes away...funny

I guess they didnt expect much of a turnout and just had 50 tickets printed up. They're all sold out but Tom is trying to arrange seating for another 30 people.
I forgot to add, for you California guys, that these guys have friends with the Oakland MC who they share info and get togethers with. The Baja ride always has some Oakland MC members on it. and they come up here for rides every now and then.
