It's not the first time that bike has done that. Blame it on the bike PK!!!!!
!!

worm is right, if you think you're going to fast use the back brake only and if the back end is locked up and sliding just ride it out or ease off. 4 strokes will engine brake nicely too.

Looks like you were in the Okanagan with all that loose rock. Another tip, get knee pads, this is from personal experience....ouch. I got cheapy ones from Canadian Tire for skateboarding. They work.

On a dirt bike lesson #1...if you aren't crashing, you aren't learning.

Sometimes I learn 2 or 3 times a day!

Here's a tip from an ISDE competitor.
When scaling down hill rocky / loose terrain [down hill] Kill the motor completly at the top and modulate the clutch smoothly. Use the engine as a break.
This guys is a fuckin' wizard in the bush on a K100 BMW sled. I couldn't keep pace on a YZR400. 'course I do suck in the bush but hey, to compete in the ISDE you need to be the top in Canada.
so there you have it. Kill the motor and use the clutch.

Very gracefull postition there Princess

I find that creeks and sand work well for learning.

Ha Ha Ha! You ever hit a tree? I mean nailed it? I was a bit concerned about being stabbed with a branch and bailed off. The bike ended upright against the tree.......after it bounced off it of course.
