Dreamin'
...of a KLX400...the street legal one...same Suzuki as what fish has but with Kawasaki plastics...I saw some pics of the high Sierras that my buddy just returned from with his wife, he on an old beat up XR650, she on a new 250 Yamaha of some sort...a 400 would do well there for me...he says it'll be too small for me...I say its just right for what I want to do...light, powerful, nimble, slap on a large tank and its a go...and my dealer spoke of one of his employees who has a big-bore kit on his...says its a rocket...just what I need...oh boy....
(I'm keepin' the KLR650 for the long haul tour, fire roads, Baja, Alaska, etc.)

Ever thought about the DR350? You can take it out to 440cc.

...yeah...thought about it...also thinkin' about the hop=up kit they have for the DRZ/KLX...I hear it makes the bike scream!...but that would be somewhere down the line for me if I did get one...my intentions are to learn better dirt skills on a lighter bike than my KLR...and I wanna be able to get to the nearby (within 1 hour) trails and dirt without trailering or hauling in a pickup...thus the new KLX400SR/DRZ400ES(?) choice (ready to go, no fiddlin' around, great components right off the show-room floor) instead of a used enduro of questionable history with a Baja Design lights kit...I like new...new smells good...I know how it'll be treated (unless I personally know the how the prior owner used bike reated his/hers)...more money would be cool, too
