Geared down 2004
I have an 'o4 and am thinking of going to a one tooth down front sprocket. Did anyone do this? I like to have the revs up a bit at lower speeds, and would rather have more gears to play with than just 2nd gear.

absolutley.. do it.. can even go up in the rear.. actually going up in the rear sprocket is easier on your chain.. but it will cut your wheelbas a bit .. making it a little more wheelie prone..
I had it two down in the front and two up at the rear.. would need toshort shift into second a lot due to wheelies but the bike was more fun to ride thru the gears every day for me...
now I have it more geared down but I extended with 6" swing arm extensions.. I like it that way...myself...do what you like...
150 mph top end is plenty for me anyways...

Thanks a lot, Salsa1. Your name reminds me of a few of my favorite things. mole, expresso burrito with the enchilada sauce and good cannoli. OK, the last one is Italian.
I have no doubt that I want to gear my baby down now.

Went down 1 tooth in the front...bike is insanely quick now. Pure power wheelies all the way to 3rd now.
