As an option you could have gone -2 in the front and achieved the same results and spent less $$
I have -2 in the front and +2 in the rear cause I like to dragrace when I get a chance and like the extra response thru the gears the bike now gives for every day riding... first gear is just too long for the street in my taste . Draw back is the bike wheelies with that configuration much easier which can also be cured by shifting into second earlier ; with a little practice ya learn when to shift earlier and still haul very strong...

Personally I don't get into cornering as much as dragracing and straight line acceleration so I love the addition of my a 6 inch swing arm and new chain to accompany the lower ratio sprockets... no wheelies now ;I just spin if not carefull; but straight line power is fun to me... I have a dynojet quick shifter on order to try out at the dragstrip where she hooks up really well ; I expect to have a blast... over and over and over again....full throttle shifting...

Case in Point ; I don't need a new chain with -2 front and + 2 rear sprocket arrangement ... much less with just -2 front ...except that with just -2 front It is very possible the chain would rub the swing arm area close to the front sprocket more than ya would want.

I ran just -2 for a short while and don't recall any serious chain rubbing issues ; I added rear +2 within a month later to better improve as a dragracer so can't say if just -2 front alone is good for long term...

Me thinks that you should have consulted with all of us before you went with -1 and +3 in rear

What wheelbase is that for???

How much you weigh???

Are you DragRacing or Riding on the street???

Yah. Still had to tilt the hugger with an extra link and -1/+2 gearing. It was very tight from the factory.
