no more ninja turtle.....
Had my exup valve checked finally! Been raining for a month. It WAS out of adjustment. The deaker made the adjustments then took it head to head with an 06 10r. Well.... the mechanic was laughing, the owner rode the 06 and the mechanic my bike, 05. The mechanic said they tried every gear for roll ons except 1st. He said my bike pulled the 06 in every gear. The owner was not super happy about that. He was saying he was waiting to start to catch my bike knowing it should be faster but he said he could not. Bout time! I tried it through the mountains this weekend with 5 other bikes. Left them all for dirt, It was great! Had a race with an R1 as well coming home, it was a see ya wouldn't want to be ya kind of day! :oi)))))) The guys in my goup said all they heard was burrrrp from the exhaust and I was gone! I am more than pleased with the performance now. Funny how the midrange is not as strong but I finally have that top end rush!

the '06 IS faster around a track than the 04/05 in the right hands. alot faster. but we're getting into the area where rider makes much more of a difference than bike (eg. your run thru the mountains). i wouldnt be surprised if the 05 were faster on a drag strip or rollons tho.

The only thing an 06 has on an 05 is the swing arm pivot position. And to get in the area where that makes a difference you need to be one hell of a rider. Kawasaki says the stock 06 is 2 seconds faster than a stock 05 and 1 second faster than a Gixxer around a track. My question is what track and whos riding? Because I haven't seen it beat either. I'm 2 seconds faster on a 03 ZX6r than my ZX10R at the Streets of Willow. But put me at California or WSIR and I'm about 4 seconds faster on my 10R than the 6R . Another thing the 05 Zx10R looked more competitive last year in superstock than this year. I'll wait for the 08. Don't get me wrong I like the bike and wish I had the money to get one, but its not dominate over an 05 enough to constitute getting one. I also think the 05 was broken in and the 06 wasn't. That makes a big diff.
