Woodcraft Clip-Ons - How do you remove the bar ends?

I just installed some 50mm Woodcraft clipons on my 10R, the clipons come with a black rounded end that I would like to remove so I can put install some bigger bar ends. How do you remove the black ends that come preinstalled in the Woodcraft clipons?

progressively larger diameter drill bit and drill 'em out. Just curious, why not keep the barends on? They are pretty functional.

I put heavier bar ends on to eliminate the vibration.

Note the new 06 10R does indeed have heavier bar ends than before.
