Suspension setup

Just taken delivery of a black Zx10r and yup the rear shock is hard as hell,
can anyone advise on adjustment for a 200lb rider for fast toad riding, bearing in mind i,m a suspension numpty.
Has anyone resprung the rear shock with progressive, and if so did it help

You need to first adjust the sag and go from there. Front should be around 35mm and the rear between 25-30mm (rider sag). THen you can dial in the comp/rebound to your liking. Hope this helps.
