Between the edge of the tank and the frame, 1/2 inch. Looking under the tank, there's pads that rest directly on the frame, giving 1/4 inch.
Dunno handlebars, but if you are ordering aftermarket, just specify the bike...

Yeah I went down to the dealer - they have a magma red 10R still sitting on the showroom floor - measured that one and came up with half an inch also. So mine is right (sigh) but what and why is the reason for design and to have the fuel tank sit so high off the frame?
Just curious...is it dumb to remove those rubber feet off the bottom of the tank to bring the fuel tank closer to the frame??

I called Todd at Cal-Sportbike, he said the handlebars for the 10R is 50mm...just posting up for anyone who may also need to know.
