Dyno Shootout in SoCal coming up.
In a somewhat ironic twist of business, Jardine has contracted Area P to run their Dyno Shootout July 16 -17 at the Queen Mary event park in Long Beach, CA. We are flattered and surprised at the same time, but more than happy to accept. I've actually sub-contracted Cycle News editor Scott Rousseau to assist us with the "MC" duties so that I can run all the bikes without having to flap my gums all day long as well....
As many of you may remember, we set an all out record (at the time) at over 545 hp. With the new record now being over 700 hp, John Noonan will have his work cut out for him. But I've heard he's got some surprises in store for us this year.... I won the 1000 class at just under 160 hp on my 10, but gave the first place trophy to D (he didn't know I "cheated" by using MR9 ).
The coolest thing about this industry is it truly goes around in one big happy circle. Even though many of us are competitors, we all appreciate each other's talents and niches within our profession.
So.... Anyone in the area, please come by and let us put your pride and joy on the pump. It's really a lot of fun and you see some incredible numbers layed down by both Sportbikes and Harley-Davidsons (some of which put out over 225 hp) all day long. We even have some pretty spectacular blow-ups when the Turbo guys start really twisting the boost trying to out-do one another repeadly. Good stuff. We normally dyno about 40 bikes a day. I believe they are still charging only $15.00. For that, you get two runs, a print-out, an interview about your bike, what you think it may put out, a chance to win a beautiful anodized billet plaque as a class winner, and of course a chance to be ridiculed and/or treated like a hero by the throngs of fans there to see you and your ride lay it on the line.
Hope to see some of your there!

Absolutely. I'll be switching back and forth with another "non-conflicting" shirt -
Silent Sport. . Gee, just like a racer making sure everyone get's taken care of....
D - don't worry. I'll blend and dilute. But if you're still planning on having children, don't sniff any of it.....
