I would say welcome fellow racer, but I'm just the "pit bitch" ("official title" of manager and chief mechanic) for a CMRA endurance and novice sprints team. We currently sprint race with a '02 R6, a '95 TZ250 and a '02 SV 650. We endurance race a '99 R6. You can read about our first two event here:

http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=19&TID=16943&set_time=

I don't have any plans on getting out there with the guys on my own 10R, but I would be interested in getting some race plastic for track days, Right now, I'm just using some crashed bodywork I have.

I do have tons of questions for you, if you don't mind...

What bodywork did you choose to use this season?
What mods have done or plan on doing?
Are you running a '04 or '05?
Are you keeping the stock suspension or aftermarket?
What classes will you run in?
Any plans on endurance racing this season?
How many events are in your season and what tracks do you plan on running on?

Good luck this season and we all look forward to some pics and updates.

Pics and dyno charts soon as she's finished.

Bodywork: Hotbodies

Mods: 520 conv., BMC race filter, Hindle exhaust, USB PC with Quick Shifter, Vortex rearsets, Superstock spec motor, VP, etc.

She is a 2004. I raced a CBR600RR last year as Novice# 256 and did okay until I had to finance a divorce. Got that over with and got the 10R and we are living happily ever after now. "Me and the 10R that is". lol.

Suspension: Race Tech front end / Elka triple adjust rear. Have some good info from these people on setting up the 10R and will pass it on once I try it out.

WERA Formula 1 and A Superstock expert for now.

Doing endurance on a F4i and have a offer to try a SV out also. I was supposed to race endurance at Jennings last weekend but got one heck of a stomach virus. They had hail on Saturday, walnut size complete with flooding. So I don't feel so bad about not making that one. lol.

Plan on doing most of the WERA National Sprints, Endurance and Mid Central races but still waiting on some parts so I'm getting a late start.

Good luck too. What tracks do you race at?

CMRA's events are held on just four tracks. They are listed (with pics of the track layouts) on the tread I mentioned in my other post. Just click on the underlined link and it will take you to the thread. You can bypass the "story" and scroll down the page to my post with the tracks. It would be nice if we lived in say... Dallas, but from Little Rock, AR, the nearest is about a 4.5 hour drive (Oak Hill) and farthest is close to 10 hours (Texas World). Those times are one way. The Sunday night drive back home after the sprints can be brutal. Especially when we got to be at work Monday morning.

Endurance races are not held at Oak Hill, so even though there are 10 events in our season, only seven of them are endurance races. In the endurance races, we have one 4 hour, two 5 hour, three 6 hour and one 8 hour. Most of our sprint races are eight laps. Three of the tracks are in the 1.8~1.9 mile range and TWS is 2.9 miles. Still, none of them can hold a candle to the "Holy Grail" of Barber. Some of the riders are wanting to run at least one event at Barber and for us, it would actually be a shorter drive than TWS in College Station, TX.

I again must admit that I personally do not race and really I'm not so sure if I'll ever mix it up with the boys as a licensed racer. For now, I've resigned myself to the occasional track day, but even when we go to a track day as a team, I'm too busy doing other stuff on their bikes to even think about riding myself.
