I think the Evo 2 also comes with a Carbon Fiber hanger bracket (that does indeed replace the passenger peg). So I would assume it would cost a little more money as well. Highly recommend new mapping with this system. The ones I've tested have a substantially different fuel curve when bolted on without remapping. It's possible to get 9 + hp with remapping. And if a concern at all, it's definetly on the loud side for the street.

Evo(racing) also uses stainless steel headers as opposed to the Evo1&2 being titanium.

Thanks for the info everyone,
The site I looked at had no info on the differences.

Since my wife refuses to get on the back of the 10 again I will
be going with the evo 2.
Yeah!!!!

When you say loud are you talking the police are coming loud?
I ride in the sticks so unless it's louder than a harley I should be fine.

I read somewhere you could make a slight mod and use the stock hanger/peg with what I geuss is the evo 2? is that possible?

PCIII usb on its way

thanks again

Being in the sticks, you should be ok. But the "sound" difference is hard to compare to a H-D. The 10 is a much higher frequency, henceforth, slightly more abusive. Everyone will have their own opinion of course. The big core/short muffler creates an awesome tone. It just gets old after awhile. On the track it's cool. On the street, you most definetly will get noticed.

For the bracketing, since they use a body clamp style mount (like most everybody else), it shouldn't be a big deal to make some kind of additional bracket to use the stock peg. What you need to check though is the angle of the S-Bend. If it's much higher than stock, then you'll run into the stock peg assembly. I believe the Elliptical shape of the Akro is similar to stock, maybe a littler taller and narrower. No bracketing will fix that problem. Good luck.

Just to clarify sp500's post. Evo 1 and EVO 2 are full titanium front to back. Identical in every way except the Evo 2 has a shorter can and includes the carbon hanger.

As for sound, in my opinion, Akro's in general seem quieter than most other brands. Even the Evo 2's shorter can seems quieter than a standard muzzy, yosh, jardine, etc.
