Just bought a HD...

Receiver, don'tcha know.

They dropped the price in half on the HD DVR, so I bit. Already had the sat dishes set up for HD, was waiting on the receiver price to fall. FIRST show I watched was a HD proggy on Japanese Motorcycles. Man, 1080i sure looks better than the old standard def. Now I just need Speed TV to come in Hi Def.

Hey Fish - Dish Network, second dish, second is right beside the other, but it looks at the 148 degree sat, vice the 110 and 119.

Doug - Yes, this is a HD Tivo, DishPlayer 921. Can record 20 or so hours of hi def, or couple hundred of SD.

Dino - C'mon man, you know me better than that! Closest I would get would be a VN2000 Drifter.

Hey,
I rode an XB-12R Buell a couple weeks ago. Strange things can happen.........

Swft- Reading evaluations online I see complaints about very slow menuing (although not specifically on the 921). What do you think?

Some of the older systems were pretty slow, but the 921 seems pretty snappy. I can go through the guide at about 2 pages per sec.
