Shinya doesn't seem to like to pass. He did this race, and it paid dividends. Once he passed, he laid down some righteous laps.

In this particular race Shinya's strategy paid dividends, i.e. 4th--3rd at a point in the race where he thought his pass would stick once he made it and not a back & forth deal. Now i've not seen much of his actual racing as he's been outside the top 10 most of the season so not much air time for the greenie's. Passing in motoGP is dbl tough even for the guys in 15th place as they are all former champions of some form or another so for Shinya to push his way forward takes some patience and seat time.

Actually, they did. He *knew* that the first corner was going to be a problem...And stuck to the inside of the track to ride by all that crap. Or doesn't strategy count in your book?

you'll have to finish first, to finish first
if they can't stay on their bloody bikes that's to bad for them does not take anything away from Nakano's third place.
Gibernau finished behind Nakano
Tamada, Bridgestone, 1st
Nakano, Bridgestone, 3rd
may be it is a tyre thing?

Did you see Nakano smoke those tyres, awesome!!!!

Say what you want about attrition ,but he STILL BEAT alot of fast bikes fair and square. Maybe his confidence will improve now and he can get some better starts.

Take a look at Nakano's lap times after he made the pass for 3rd....Inparticular,,laps 23 and 24......Im impressed.....too bad there werent like 3 or 4 more laps....could have gotten interesting.
