Hyperpro RSC steering damper question

Got it installed, the problem I have is now I can't turn the clip-ons to full right lock...the damper cylinder bumps the mount on that side.
I used both the metal washers but it still doesn't clear.

Anybody else have this problem?

Thanks
Drew

Ok, you mean sliding the damper body in the center clamp until it clears, eh.

Sorry if this sounded like a dumb question, but I've only installed rotary dampers, so this is my first cylinder type.

I'll give that I shot this evening.

Thanks D.

Yeah, you'll have to adjust the body of it, then you should have no problems. I love mine.

I don't have it here with me but the mounting instructions that came with the damper indicate the proper placement to avoid clearance issues.

Yannick is correct . there is a measurement in the instruction on where to set the damper in the clamp.

I'd love to see a pic of it. wwwrxxx@westnet.com.au

I've got the same damper from muzzy. Maybe the mounts are different. I don't have any issue with the side to side clearance. Mine might be higher geared if the brackets are different.

I'll email a pic of mine to compare... (need your email address)

$400 plus " OuCh". Where can a broke man buy a damper ... cheaper than what I see everywhere I look. Purhaps I just need to close my eye's.

On another note though, don't you just love the way your 10R starts bringing the front up under power 1st thru 4th.

It's like hanging onto the wife while saying her sister is much tighter, hard to do but what a Rush,

Does anybody know if the RSC can be mounted on the bottom of the triple clamp to the underside of the frame? I've seen a ZX-10R with and Ohlins mounted like that and wonder if it can be done with the Hyperpro?

Thanks

Haven't seen any mounted below, but I guess anything is possible. It's nice though to have it up top to adjust it for different riding condidtions.

I've found that the bike is very sensitive to where your weight is. Keep up against the tank and all is well. Bike will pull hard out of the corners and not shake it's head. Let your butt slide back, tho, and the front end will definately get light and wag back and forth, if not come up in third and forth.

I do agree with that swft, and that is exactly how i ride. Ikeep my self tight against the tank. I found the bike responds very well to my body input this way.
