Everybody wants a professional but nobody wants to pay for one. People bitch about mechanics fu**ing up but no one considers many are paid no more than fast food fry cooks. For the sake of the industry I hope dealers can realize some profit. Selling a bike for MSRP doesn't seem so unreasonable to me.

Yah, but the prob is that they sell lotsa bikes to young squids, who can barely afford the bike, let alone insurance...or a service manual...

Tho someone may save over what I paid, ya can't put a price on the amount of pleasure I have experienced on my "blue beast" thusfar. Life is too short to be worried about buyer's remorse. Make your deal . . . go ride!

Hey, Fish, the dealer where I bought mine has 22 total 10Rs, 6 on the floor, the rest crated. They got their whole allotment of 38 about a week after I bought mine.

wow... my dealer's sold that many already... they have dealers from all across the city and the rest of canada asking to buy their remaining two.

Is it worth losing half a riding season to potentially save some money? If you figured your going to lose 3000 the first year on depreciation. So you save 1000. Now You've lost 1/2 the time of depreciation and only gained 1/3 in savings. Is it really worth it? That is a personal decision. Having a motorcycle like a ZX-10R is not an inherently sound economic decision. I say seize the day.

Sounds like racing stories to me. No one ever loses, always have the fastest, etc. - I have a hard time believing you got $1500.00 off msrp unless they charged you set-up, freight, etc.

Who cares about the $$$ it a hobby. If you cant afford to lose a couple thou you shouldnt be buying. I paid a couple hundred under msrp but would have paid more if I had to. I like the dealer and want them to be around for my next bike purchase.

this dealer is not up on his game, tell him to take 4 of the bikes off the floor and tell people that's all he has left and he "might" be able to get a few more......lol
What if he never comes off of the price and just ends up selling the bikes to another dealer?

Right... no one should worry about money. Lets see, Im in my early 30s... so if I buy a new bike every 2 years (which currently is the case) and I should pay out the wazoo for every single one of them.
Get a clue, buying the bike is only the FIRST step. Unlike alot of buyers Im not satisfied with the factory suspension, hp, or brakes. So I will end up spending at least 1/2 the bikes MSRP on aftermarket accessories to make the bike acceptable to ME.
Im not bikeless, so Im not losing any riding time. Thanks for offering your opinion on what others should or should not purchase.
Just like the first buyers of ZX12s that paid $12K plus fees.... I bought my 2000 brand new for $9100.(5/00) Paid even less than that for an 02 model.
