dyno #

Just dynoed my bike with 1400 miles with micron slip-on and power commander and came out with 157hp. temp was 83 degrees with a smoothing factor of 5 (if anyone could explain what this means?). My bro's oo zx12 with fully muxxy and power commander was only 172hp. OPerator thought the numbers were a little low for the 10 but from what I have seen on the net this seems normal. Whatever the numbers still a awesome bike and a complete upgrade from 99 zx7r.

Dont Worry

Don't feel bad. Most personally owned ZX-10Rs aren't anywhere near the 160+rwhp that the magazine "ringer bikes" achieve. Most are about 150 +/-3 rwhp, just like the other brands 1000cc bikes out there.

everyone is sayin 160 h.p. from the 10 but the only mag that said that, is sportrider. cycle world said it had 155.i don't believe there are any ringers out there. sportrider numbers are always hi.not only are they hi for the 10 but also everything they dyno.compare sportriders numbers to cycle world. any given bike will be higher with sportrider. so, is it a ringer or just a different dyno that reads a lil hi.

My friends, 10 dynoed 155. This is in the DC area.
He broke his bike in, by the motoman's system. He removed the cat after break in and this is what it dynoed

Relativity my friend, relativity. Customer street 10r's show little hp. advantage over other repli-race 1000's on the dyno. While sportrider shows a 15 hp. advantage. Though most street riders seem to agree that the 10R provides the wildest ride, so it's still cool with me.

The 10R's 15 hp advantage is relative to the "weakest" bike in the test, the CBR1000RR.
