Muzzy Pipe real world results??
Hi All from the Gold Coast down under...
I thought I would share some interesting results from the weekend. I have been wanting to get a Titanium Muzzy Bolt on for a few weeks but they hadnt come into stock yet.
My flatmate and I went for a ride to look at some bikes and heading down the motorway we decided to test some roll ons. I have a ZX-10, my flatmate has an 02 GSX-R 1000 with an Akro pipe and K&N Filter. His has done about 6,500kms mine about 1,800kms. He is 10kg heavier than I am.
4th Gear roll ons from 100km we were around equal until the upper range and then i started to pull slightly away. 6th gear pretty much the same result if anything a little more in favour of the gsxr initially with the 10 taking over higher up.
I have to admit I was a little disappointed with these results. At the bikes shop I noticed they had a Muzzy Bolt on for the 10R in stock and also on the demo and I fell in love with the looks and the sounds so purchased there and then. Also decided to put the pipe on there and pick up my old one later.
Later on that afternoon heading home we decided to try the roll ons again. To say amazed at the difference is an understatement. The 10-R literally jumped 3-4 bike lengths straight away similar results in 6th gear. My flatmate was totally amazed at both the difference and the awesome sound coming from the muzzy in full scream.
I dont have easy access to a dino so i can't do a before and after hp test but I thought you guys might be interested in these results on the road.
Ride safe and keep grinning.

Say, Thanks agrobm..
We need as much real world info on these pipes as we can get..
Back-to-back info is some of the best of all.

That goes to show you how restrictive the OEM canister is...You would get the same results with any brand slip on!!!
Not putting Muzzy down...Its just the real world...

Thanks for the info agrobm. Makes me feel better about purchasing a Muzzy for my 10. Hopefully it'll get here sometime soon.

This may sound strange but the Muzzy on my 10r is the quietest aftermarket pipe I've owned:
85 900 Ninja - 4 into 1 Vance & Hines
93 CBR900RR - Yoshimura slip on
94 ZX9r - D & D slip on
00 Hayabusa - 4 into 1 Yoshimura
04 ZX10r - Muzzy slip on

I agree....it sounds awesome but it's not as loud as a normal Muzzy (had one on my 7r)....which is perfect for me... I've actually had comments of how quiet it was--now when it's up there in the rpm range is when it screams......
