Just installed the D&D Pipe and Rear Integrator.......
........and love both of them. The Rear Integrator works great, really clean with the wires, connectors snap right into the factory connectors, and only took about 20 mins to re-install the rear assembly and even had my g/f follow me to insure you could distinguish between the brake and tail and could see both well, and she sould it worked/looked great.
Then I went and got the D&D over at there shop in Fort Worth, took my factory can/mid pipe off right there in the parking lot and installed the slipon right there, and only took about 10 mins, very easy. And I must say, a slipon, or atleast this slipon really woke this bike up, felt alot better from 4k+ and very smooth. Not too sure about the all chrome/polished look, but ill only have it on 3 weeks until my full Arata system comes in, so its not that big of a deal i guess...........ill go snap some pics in a minute and post what it looks like.........
Oh, and if anyone is interested in this D&D slipon, it will be for sale in a couple of weeks for $250, let me know if your interested..........

ok, just installed the LED license plate lights, and am very impressed with them. took 10 mins to install, nothing removed on the bike to do it, and they mounted clean, and with the black paint I painted them with, you cant even tell tehy are there without really looking. The dark pics arent the best, just trying to show what it would look like, and yes, the license plate is VERY visible, as are the ROW of LED's that light up on either side when the turn signal is engaged. I tried to get some up close shots of the welds, but they didnt come out the best. Im still torn on whether i like this much of chrome from the pipe on this bike, there is alot of black on this bike, and this chrome pipe kinda screams bling bling in a way I think, and not sure it goes best with the bike, wish id have gotten to see the Black Satin finish Can on here before buying, but oh well, it does look good and sounds mean as hell........

it looks VERY clean, i used two small l brackets, and looks like its just hanging there, ill go snap a pic of it in a second. I went to Autozone and got two LED lights for $9, painted the tops and sides a gloss black with some model paint at WalMart for $1, and then mounted them under there. Everything cost me $10, and 10 mins to install, and it looks great, those LED's definately do a good job.......oh, and thats a HOMEMADE kit

Yea, got em at autozone, ill go see if I can dig the box out of the trash. My turn signals are integrated into my rear taillight assembly, as you can see in one of the above pics, the far left row of lights is brighter than the others, as i had my turn signal on and it was signaling while I took the photo.......

I like the way the D&D pipe directs the exhaust gas flow . That is the proper position . You see the way it is aimed towards the center of the bike ? This creates a scavenge effect .
I see nothing wrong with the welds either . My only objective about the pipe is that it sticks out the rear a little past the bike . Might be just the pic though . I bet it sounds really deep .
You can cut an inch or so from the S pipe and remount the can . It will move the can towards the motor . The S pipe looks a little long . Again maybe the pic . How much was it ?

Aiming towards the center of the bike has nothing to do with creating a "scavenge effect".

k bryant ,
Since the center of the bike creates a vacuum , I think it does create a scavenging effect . The bike and rider are displacing air . Eric Bostrom while racing with Kawi made a pipe change . His pipe "was" directed along the side rear of the bike . They found more HP aiming the exhaust towards the center . Notice on the racing bikes the cans are directly aimed towards the center rear of the bike . The cans are directed inwards . Also read about it in RRW magazine . But maybe those sources are wrong as you indicate Mr. Bryant . I know I always am .

...just curious, dket, what is your background with regards to exhaust design, manufacture, and sales?...I know Mr. Muzzy has background and I know Mr. Bryant has background as they are inimately and directly involved within the industry, so I defer my exhaust questions and answers to them since they have the goods, the know-how, and the experience...but what background do you come from that quantifies your opinions and beliefs regarding exhaust design and function...just asking...people wanna know...maybe you can reveal yourself to us as well?
...as it is for any one of us, its either what we've read, what we think, or what we actually know...
...the exhaust people will state from exhaustive research (hey! a pun! ) that (this) is what they know will happen or could happen...not what they think will happen...everything is laid out on the table and not some theoretical opinion...or what they read somewhere...doncha' think?

I don't get what you are trying to say . Muzzy and K Bryant are the only 2 guys on Earth that know about exhaust systems ? I am still lost ...... Please explain in more detail .

...dket...you seem to make impirical statements about certain motorcycle topics and it would appear that you have tons of experience with what you're talking about...
...just for fun, I catergorize knowledge into several types:
1) there's 'magazine knowledge' (stuff that we read)
2) there's 'vicarious knowledge' (stuff that we know based on someone who knows someone who did something)
3) 'hyperventilating knowledge' (stuff we wanna believe because we're so damn excited about shit...
...and then there's
4) actual knowledge and expertise (stuff based on actual personal involvement and actual hands-on experience)
...these two fine gentlemen (Mr. Muzzy and Mr. Bryant) come here, sponsor here, and lend their expertise to the general readership...and there are lots of other fine and talented personnel here who are also directly involved with the industry as well in one form or another and are willing to share their expertise and lend advice...I'm talking about guys and gals who have documented proof of their accomplishments...
...bs is bs and some of us regular enthusiast folk just like to bs with what we pretend to know...but when it comes time to asking for expert advice, we know who to turn to and who to trust...the obvious are the guys from Muzzy, Jardine, Orient Express, and the many established racers and tuners on these boards...
...I know that Mr. Bryant and Mr. Muzzy aren't the only game in town, but when they speak, we all know where they're coming from....
...so...where are you coming from?...this is not a challenge nor a spite...its just that when someone speaks with some authority about a topic, I'd like to know what qualifies that person to do so...especially if I decide to follow that person's advice or I'm gathering useful information for future reference...nothing personal, mind you
...detailed enough?
