Valve chatter ??
Just picked up my bike yesterday. The engine is not as quite as my 12. At around 4k there seems to be a chatter or vibration in the valve train / cam chain ?? Could well be normal but I hear something I'm not used to. Maybe it's the sound of titaniam valves ??
Anyone else's bike seem the same ?
I'll have to locate another bike somewhere to listen too.
Other than that the bike is great. It won't take anytime to get used to the weight loss. Man, was that 12 heavy.

I have the same noise and it was very noticable when I was shifting @ 4000 rpm during break-in. To me it sounds like the valve in the exhaust collector or the little tin cover that is over the pully/cables on the exhaust valve.

Felt as tho it was normal on mine. All of my Kaws in the past had loud valve trains. 6R, 7R, 9R.

Mine does the EXACT same thing. I posted on this a couple months ago.
It's right at 4000 rpm and especially noticable on engine decel.

If its anything like the CBR's it is the Cam chain. Mine does it too. Honda recommends a manual tensioner.

Sounds like it could be in that area. A manual tensioner is on my list.
