How are the 10's brakes compared to the 12??
How are the 10's brakes compared to the 12??
I'm coming close to making the plunge.
Dealer got in a Blue one today..
I'm telling the Mrs. that the new brakes are, 'safer'
- cuz they should slow the bike more quickly for a given effort...
(I got cut off on the 12 once, only had 1 finger on the brake at the time and just BARLEY brought it to a hault before the impending t-bone where the car had (of coarse) stopped)

I may be countered on this, but I don't find the brakes any better than my 12 with HH pads. Now this may be because A) I forgot to bed in the brakes on the 10 or B) my memory of riding the 12 last year is corrupted or C) I was just more aggresive on the brakes with the 12 because I was so familiar with the bike. But my initial impression with the 10 has been "what's the big deal" with the brakes?

Well now I get to answer the question for myself.
About 150 miles on the Blue 10
As I mentioned, I had only stock pads on the 12.
The 10 will happily raise the back tire off the ground with only one finger way on the inside of the handle.
My 12 would not do this - no F'ing way - it was a 3-4 finger affair..
Yessir - I like this machine a whole bunch..
MF'er turns like nothing I've ever been on.
